Project work. Follow the instructions in the text below.
You will make a difference.
Kids and teens 8 to 18 years spend nearly 4 hours a day in front of a TV screen. Are you an average teenager?
With the energy that we save with recycling only one aluminium can, we are able to watch TV for 3 hours.
Your goal is to collect enough cans you that can watch TV with the energy saved by recycling them.
Can you do it? How many cans can you collect in a month? How many hours can you watch TV with the energy you and your classmates saved by recycling those cans? How many days can you watch TV if you are an average teenager?
Fill in the table below and report to the class. Take the collected cans to the nearest recycling centre yourself or call the local garbage collector company.
